Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reach Stonehenge and the Cotswolds from London?

Yes! We offer flexible pickup options and we'll collect you from your hotel or a convenient meeting point in our comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. The journey to Stonehenge varies depending on your pickup location, however, from London it typically takes about 2 hours.

What is a 'private' tour?

All our tours are private and exclusive to your group. You won't be sharing with strangers - just you, your family or friends, and your expert guide. Our vehicle comfortably accommodates up to 7 guests. The price shown is for the entire tour, not per person.

How long are your tours?

We offer flexible tour lengths to suit your schedule. Half-day tours are 4-5 hours, perfect for a single destination. Full-day tours are 8-10 hours, allowing you to explore multiple sites. We can also arrange multi-day experiences for those wanting to see everything at a relaxed pace.

Is lunch included?

Lunch is not included in the tour price, but we allocate 60-90 minutes at a suitable location. We'll recommend the best pubs, tea rooms, or restaurants based on your preferences. We can pre-book venues if you prefer, and we're happy to accommodate any dietary requirements.

Can we customize our itinerary?

Absolutely! With 25 years of experience, we excel at creating bespoke experiences. Whether you're passionate about history, photography, Harry Potter filming locations, or just want a relaxing day in the countryside, we'll tailor your tour to your interests.

What should I wear?

Comfortable shoes are essential as you'll be walking on ancient stones, cobbled streets, and village paths. Dress in layers as English weather can be unpredictable. We always carry umbrellas just in case! This isn't a hiking tour, so no special equipment needed.

How much walking is involved?

Tours involve gentle walking at each location. At Stonehenge, you'll walk around the stone circle. In villages like Lacock or Castle Combe, you'll stroll through streets. Everything is at your own pace with plenty of stops for photos and rest. Most guests average 5,000-10,000 steps throughout a full day.

When do I pay?

We require a £50 deposit to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of your tour. We'll send a secure electronic invoice for payment of your deposit. We accept all major credit and debit cards.

What's the best time to visit?

Each season offers something special! Spring (March-May) brings wildflowers and fresh green countryside. Summer (June-August) has the warmest weather and longest days. Autumn (September-November) showcases golden colors. Winter (December-February) is quietest with potential frost or snow creating magical scenes.

Do you accommodate families with children?

Yes! We love showing families the magic of ancient Britain. We adjust the pace for younger traveler's and know all the spots that capture children's imagination - from Harry Potter locations to tales of knights and legends. Child seats available on request.
